Hallelujah Praise 2026: Worship, Music, Charity
The premises of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church came alive on Sunday, April 5, 2026, as hundreds of worshippers gathered for the much-anticipated Hallelujah Praise 2026 (HP26), a free gospel concert held in celebration of the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Organised annually by the church, the event has grown into a significant fixture on the Easter calendar, offering Christians an opportunity to express gratitude, joy and reverence through music and fellowship. This year’s edition, held at the church’s car park at 3:00pm, combined powerful ministration with a noble cause, as proceeds and donations were directed towards the Child Cancer Care Unit at Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital.
The atmosphere was charged with excitement and deep spiritual anticipation as some of Ghana’s finest Gospel musicians took to the stage. The Tagoe Sisters delivered a soul-stirring performance, captivating the audience with timeless songs including “Yesu Mo” and “Medi Nkunim”, which had patrons singing along in unity and praise.
Award-winning Gospel artiste Cwesi Oteng also graced the stage, lifting hearts with renditions of popular songs such as “God Dey Bless Me” and “Count Your Blessings”. His performance brought an uplifting and reflective tone, reminding the audience of God’s faithfulness.
Supporting acts equally delivered memorable ministrations. The St. Margaret Mary Youth Choir set the tone with harmonious choral pieces, while the Pax Romana Choir from the University of Ghana impressed with their rich vocal arrangements. The Ave Maria School Choir brought youthful vibrance to the stage, with energetic performances from Team Jesus and the Akwantufuo Band adding diversity and rhythm to the evening.
From the opening act to the final ministration, HP26 was marked by an outpouring of praise, worship and communal unity. The event not only celebrated the risen Christ but also reinforced the importance of compassion and generosity, as attendees contributed towards supporting children battling cancer.
As voices rose in unison and hands were lifted in worship under the evening sky, Hallelujah Praise 2026 stood as a testament to the power of faith, music and community — a memorable night honouring the risen Lord while making a meaningful impact on lives.
