Rev. Fr. Sub Lt. Emmanuel Enyonam Sebastian Dorgbetor, a Catholic priest and Naval Officer, donated 500 desks, 500 exercise books, and 500 pens to basic schools in Akatsi South.
The initiative, part of his “Sit a Child, Change a Life” campaign, follows the launch of his three books: Something Good in Everything I See, Do, and Hope For.
He urged pupils to see the donation as an investment in their future and to show appreciation through diligent study. “Make your community proud,” he said.
The donation ceremony, at Christ the King Cathedral, was attended by military personnel, school children, teachers, and supporters. The Municipal Director of Education, Mr. Karim Ayaana Umar, welcomed the gesture and appealed for further support.
