Embrace Values That Promote National Unity, Progress – Archbishop Anokye

The Metropolitan Archbishop of Kumasi, Most Rev. Gabriel Justice Yaw Anokye, has called on Ghanaians to reject divisive behaviours and instead promote values such as justice, solidarity, hard work, and respect to foster national unity and development.
Speaking at the Ashanti Regional commemoration of the National Day of Prayer and Thanksgiving at the Central Charismatic Centre in Asokore Mampong, he urged Ghanaians to abandon tribalism, homosexuality, environmental irresponsibility, and the verbal abuse of national leaders.
Clergy from various faiths led prayers for national renewal, unity, peace, and wisdom for the Executive, Legislative, and Judicial arms of government.
Held under the theme: Reflect, Reset, and Renew for National Prosperity, the interfaith event drew Christians and Muslims from Orthodox, Pentecostal, Charismatic, Adventist, and independent churches, alongside para-church groups like Aglow International and representatives of state institutions such as the NCCE.
Ashanti Regional Minister, Dr. Frank Amoakohene, who was in attendance, pledged to lead with humility, transparency, and moral integrity. He encouraged religious institutions to engage in the ongoing Constitutional review process and urged the youth to channel their energies into creativity and innovation rather than destructive habits.
