Bishop Gyamfi Initiates Tarcisians at Nsoatre

The Most Rev. Matthew Kwasi Gyamfi, Bishop of Sunyani and President of the Ghana Catholic Bishops’ Conference (GCBC), recently initiated during Mass some students of the Sacred Heart Senior High School, Nsoatre (SAHESS) as Tarcisians into the Sacred Heart Confraternity.

The Mass was concelebrated by Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Appiah Adongo, the Chaplain of SAHESS and Rev. Fr. Richard Kwaku Boateng.

Enrolling the students into the League of the Tarcisians of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, Bishop Gyamfi urged the initiates to be of good behavior and true ambassadors of the Sacred Heart Confraternity. He also asked them to be prayerful and grow in their faith, reminding them that the purpose of being a Tarcisian is to be a loyal friend of the Sacred Heart, like St. Tarcisius, their Patron.

As part of the initiation ceremony, the candidates promised the Bishop that they would get the Sacred Heart of Jesus enthroned in their homes and homes of others, as well as convert others, especially in their own families.

They were invested in their regalia as Tarcisians with a sash and a medal by Madam Angelina Samaah, the Diocesan President of the Sacred Heart Confraternity in Sunyani, assisted by Mark Ackom Inkoom, Diocesan Secretary and Siaw Solomon, Diocesan President of the Tarcisians.

Rev. Sr. Benedicta Uzokwoe (HHCJ) expressed gratitude to the Bishop for enrolling her students in the Sacred Heart as Tarcisians.
