Nhyiramma Choir organises Choral Festival
The Nhyiramma Youth Choir of the Mary Help of Christian’s Catholic Church at Odumase in the Sunyani Diocese, recently held a choral festival themed: The Significance of The Suffering Servant.
Participating Choirs were the University of Energy and Natural Resources (UNER) Pax Romana Choir, Fiapre; St. Paul’s Choir, Odumase Parish and All Souls’ Choir from St. Peter’s Parish, Fiapre.
Most Rev. Matthew Kwasi Gyamfi, Bishop of Sunyani Diocese, in a message lauded the Choir for organising the programme and advised members to emulate the humility of Jesus Christ and be forgiving.
He urged the faithful to be grateful to others for their help and support.
Mr. Paul Danquah, the Choir President, thanked Parishioners for patronising the programme, especially the Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Robertson K. Sung (SDB) and his Assistant, Rev. Fr. Chiemeka Maria Utazi (SDB), for their immense support towards the realisation of the Choral festival.
He was hopeful that patrons benefited from the Festival.
The Chairman for the programme, Prof. Daniel Obeng, Vice Chancellor of the Catholic University College of Ghana (CUCG) –Fiapre near Sunyani, called on Parish Pastoral Councils to support youth programmes to help retain them in the Church and deepen their faith.
