Nduom supports Catholic facilities

n a bid to give back to his Church, Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom, President of Groupe Nduom, as part of his 64th Birthday celebration, made a personal donation of $64,000 to five Catholic Parishes and Schools.
The beneficiaries were the St. Bro. André Senior High School at Kasoa being established by the Holy Cross Brothers in Cape Coast; St. Vincent College of Education, Yendi in support of a Dining Hall Project and the St. Theresa’s Vocational School at Assin Darmang, for a Dormitory project
The Konongo-Mampong Diocese also received support in aid of the completion of its Cathedral project while the St. Edward’s Catholic Church, Jukwa in the Cape Coast Archdiocese would be tiled .
Dr. Nduom said the presentation was in appreciation to God for His graces and also for the advancement of the Church and Catholic education, reiterating the importance of education in every society.
Stressing on the importance of Catholic education, he recounted his days at the St. Augustine’s College at Cape Coast and added that the training he received there had benefited him.
On the recent fire outbreak at the premises of the Coconut Groove Hotel, he stated that 2017 had been a challenging year but the Company was able to bounce back immediately after the disaster because it had a business continuation and disaster recovery fund which it fell on.
He thanked their numerous customers for keeping faith with Groupe Nduom even after the disaster and assured them that all their savings, investment and data with the Companies were safe, stating that all the Offices that were affected were currently in full operation.
Most Rev. Joseph Osei-Bonsu, Bishop of the Konongo-Mampong Diocese, on behalf of the beneficiaries thanked Dr. Nduom for his kind gesture. He commiserated with Groupe Nduom on its loss and prayed that God restored them.
He appealed to other well-meaning individuals and organizations to also support the Catholic Church and her institutions.
Present at the ceremony was Most Rev. Charles Gabriel Palmer-Buckle, Archbishop of Accra.
