The power of women in marriage

By Dr. John Boakye

From history a woman appears to have no limit to her power. Adam was crushed by Eve. Sampson the strongest man that ever lived was charmed by Delilah. David, a man after God’s heart and who killed a nine-foot Goliath, fell under spell of Bathsheba.

In recent years, we have Rev. Jim Baker and Rev. Jimmy Swaggard who had the fastest growing churches in the USA being crushed by a Secretary and prostitute respectively. And what about the then President of the most powerful nation on earth, kneeling before an intern or National Service personnel?

Again in Greek comedy, lysistrata, we read of an intense war with very heavy casualties and when nothing could stop the war, the women decided to show power stops with them. They decided to stop the war by simply resolving to deny their men access to the strong room. The war stopped overnight!

The power of women

Power of attraction. A woman’s perception of power is defined by her sexuality and she knows by instinct she can control a man since sex is his weakest spot. Her ability to grant or refuse sex is the centre of her power. She knows by instinct that you need her. She then creates illusions on your mind by simple acts like smile, provocative walking and kind words and makes you think you can get her if you show you are a man.

At this point, many men will do something like expensive gifts, leaking exam questions just to prove they are capable because a man has great fulfillment as he solves problems for women and keep the illusions alive as he continues to obey, provide and protect the woman. Then you get trapped! Interestingly, studies show that any woman pushing the right buttons at the right time can trap almost any man.

In fact, studies show that 95 percent of all decisions made by men are under the influence of women. Poor men! We look big and strong outside  but on the inside, we are babies. If a man thinks he is the head, he must never forget that a woman is the neck. She turns the head how and when she desires.

The power of intuition. Women have ‘radar’ that helps them to detect things around them. They can sense the difference between what people say and what they mean. They are more perspective about people than men and like Joan of Arc, Margaret Thatcher and Yaa Asantewaa, they take accurate and firm judgment in times of crisis. Studies show that if a woman suspects  her man of cheating, in nine out of ten cases she is right.

Imagine a simple study done in the US. Ten girl-friends were lined up and the wives were called in to identify their rivals from screened room. Eighty percent of the women could identify the girl friends of their husbands even when they had never known them. God speaks to husbands through the intuitive power of wives. Husbands must therefore be humble and listen to their wives.

The power of endurance. When a man comes home from work, he is completely exhausted and wants to relax, watch television or read newspapers. The woman who may be doing harder work in the office merely goes on shift and continues to work at home. She makes the home comfortable and prepares good meals where other family members look to return and feel good.
