Sod cutting for Rectory, Church building

Most Rev. Joseph Afrifah Agyekum, Bishop of Koforidua Diocese, in separate ceremonies, cut the sod for construction of a Rectory for the St. Dominic Parish at Adweso, and a new Church building at Asuoyaa, an Outstation.

He was assisted by Rev. Msgr. Francis Twum Barimah, Vicar General, who is also the Co-ordinator of the Diocesan Project Committee.

In a homily at a Mass preceding the sod cutting, Bishop Afrifah-Agyekum encouraged the Parishioners to contribute to the successful completion of the projects.

He also congratulated the Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Frederick Opoku Obeng, SVD, and his assistant, Rev. Fr. Daniel Odei Dankyi, SVD, and the Parish Pastoral Council for their relentless efforts for the commencement of the projects.

The Bishop and the Vicar General planted a tree each at the project sites to commemorate the occasion.

The ceremonies were witnessed by the Diocesan and Parish Project Committees.
